Jim Cummings’ short film Thunder Road is only twelve minutes long, but it’s an unexpected journey. In a single take, a police officer’s eulogy for his mother gives way to an oddly touching rendition of Bruce Springsteen’s classic anthem of the same name. The film won the Sundance Grand Jury Prize for Best Short Film last year. He recently wrapped up a successful Kickstarter project to turn it into a full-length feature.
